Best Supporting Actor: THAT Maritime Salvage Crane!
In the end, it was all about THE CRANE!
SIX HOURS AGO: Watching from the waterfront of America's Hudson River:
Celebrating THE CRANE! Jersey City's Weeks Marine 533 floating maritime salvage crane - THE legend that pulled US Airways Flight 1549 from the Hudson River in 2009 & transported a British Airways Concorde to the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in Manhattan - escorted our 150,000 pound (68,000-kilogram) Shuttle Enterprise today. Planes, boats & trains weighing more than a million pounds can be plucked like flowers by the beastly crane. The hull is constructed with surplus panels from WWII ships. A beautiful silhouette - a boom met our NYC skyline, towering 295 feet off the water!
What inspires you out your window?
Best regards,
TishTrek
