9/11: Wordsworth's "Intimations of Immortality" = "Resilience"
The 11th Anniversary of 9/11 is tomorrow:
Honoring 9/11 from my 36th floor Hudson River Watch Tower: We're energized by America's Freedom Tower - that shiny iconic building which soars 1,776 feet into the sky! Bolstered by this beautiful reflection on the horizon, we stand tall like Tower One grateful the definition of "resilience" has been restored! The amazing hands of hard hats helped our 11-year focus shift from how fellow commuters died to honoring and celebrating "how they lived." God Bless America, all 9/11 families, those who protect our freedoms & all who sailed with us during the 9/11 Boatlift. -Amen.

Tom Hanks narrates the epic story of the 9/11 boatlift that evacuated half a million people from the stricken ...
This single traumatic experience my husband Harry and I endured on a commuter ferry eleven years ago changed my life, my attitude, my sense of security and me forever.
It also bolstered my love of country, my appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy and it brought me closer to fellow citizens. Today I honor those who sacrifice all so others may live. We must never forget. God Bless America.
This is the quote that came to my head as my beloved buildings in Lower Manhattan fell to earth that fateful day:
"What though the radiance which was once so bright
Be now for ever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower;
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind"
— William Wordsworth, (Intimations of Immortality)
