17th Anniversary of 9-11...
On the 17th Anniversary of 9-11, we continue prayers for a path to peace. (Picture above - TishTrek and husband Harry @ the podium inside the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York City). It was the privilege of a lifetime for us to be with leaders from around the world on a night when honoring excellence in writing and reporting was the common language uniting all of us. As one of the proud sponsors of the Annual U.N. Correspondents' Dinner, we enjoyed honoring excellence in writing and communications by helping to fund scholarships for international university students who had the courage & talent to tackle some of the difficult issues of our time. Through their magnificent words, they successfully created content that helped readers see through the lens of their research & life experiences. These students inspired all of us. I have confidence the next generation will pick up where we leave off.

Elizabeth Edwards: Screaming from the grave?!

Welcome to TishTrek - THE JOB BLOG!

I got a hit in today's New York Post! I wrote a letter to the editor after reading, "Edwards Brushed Off Potential Jail Plea Deal," on June 6.

My letter was posted last night and made the fine print in the newspaper today.

Read how I felt when John Edwards, Democratic vice presidential nominee (2004) and wannabe presidential candidate (2008), showed up at a North Carolina courthouse with his oldest daughter Cate to face charges that he paid for his mistress - Rielle Hunter - with campaign cash.

My letter is at the bottom... You'll not that I now believe that you can kill someone after they're dead! - TishTrek

A sinful prez wannabe & the pain he caused

With sincerity coating every lying syllable, this shyster claimed that almost $1 million of campaign contributions were back-doored to his mistress in a perfectly legal manner.

If Edwards were smart, he would have pled ignorance of the complicated campaign-finance law, copped a plea, paid a fine and got on with his slimy life.

With the indictment of Edwards, we are reminded of the capacity of this man to cause harm to many, especially his wife, Elizabeth, who was terminally ill with cancer and with whom he had four children and shared the death of a son.

Cheaters come in all stripes -- Democrats, Republicans, the powerful and the not-so-powerful.

But while men can be selfish egomaniacs, I have a bigger issue with the women those guys cheat with.

Did Rielle Hunter care at all that she was participating in the destruction of a family?

There are plenty of single men who do not have young families. Why don't these women target these guys and not make it so easy for married fathers to cheat?

Just remember, girls. If they cheat with you, they will cheat on you.

If two-time presidential candidate Edwards was indicted for trying to keep his mistress and their baby hidden during the peak of his 2008 campaign for the White House, shouldn't Arnold Schwarzenegger be indicted also?

Schwarzenegger used his security staff to hide his affairs.

And how about South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford?

Saturday's photo says it all ("Edwards' 'Baby Booty' Rap," June 4).

As far away as New Jersey, we can hear Elizabeth Edwards screaming from the grave as her beautiful daughter Cate was used as a media prop on the steps of the Winston-Salem courthouse by Edwards.

Anthony Weiner & the of Women-of-Weinergate

Welcome to TishTrek - THE JOB BLOG!!

Our personal behavior spills over into every part of our lives, including our jobs...

Below is a response to a Wall Street Journal article written by Erica Orden on Wednesday, June 8th, 2011 who promoted the idea that Ms. Huma Abedin-Weiner, the wife of Anthony Weiner, was having her private life tested.

Mrs. Weiner has been Hillary Clinton's aide and powerhouse side-kick for over 15 years and she posed for Vogue, so I shifted the focus to the private lives of the Women-of-Weinergate.

What's your opinion?

Best regards,
TishTrek

Subject: Private Lives Tested? No privacy tears for Mrs. Anthony Weiner

Dear Erica,

A Private Life, Tested? (WSJ, 6/8 - Erica Orden). The real private lives being tested are those that belong to the Women-of-Weinergate who have few "supporters in the world of politics, diplomacy and the press."

Where's the WSJ story on Congressman Weiner's on-line pal Lisa Weiss - the blackjack dealer? Ms. Weiss was placed on mandatory leave-of-absence from her job, banned by her employer from speaking to the press again, and 'forced' to write a pathetic letter of apology to Ms. Huma Abedin-Weiner by the really "big bosses" at the Bellagio in Las Vegas?

It's a surprise to no one that Rep Weiner's wife Ms. Abedin is getting advice from 'that' couple - the Clintons; and of course her 'unofficial' spokesman is Clinton lawyer, Robert Barnett. Congressman Weiner didn't send outrageous nude pictures and creepy sext messages to the daughters of the Weiner, Abedin, Clinton, Sinclair or Dominique Strauss-Kahn (DSK) families or to any wives of Congressional colleagues, so why should her husband resign?

Anne Sinclair actually arrived on U.S. soil demanding her husband DSK be returned to France for 'fair' prosecution; and DSK can still expect the equivalent of a ticker-tape parade when he gets home to Paris. In the world of Hillary, Huma and Anne, the women targeted by the alleged behavior of their husbands are all from that lower class/cast system which includes service employees, chambermaids, blackjack dealers, porn stars, college students, singers and interns who have zero worth and no value in the powerful & influencial circles their families live in.

The article works hard to suggest that Congressman Weiner's pregnant wife is really "Ms. Huma Abedin" and not "Mrs. Anthony Weiner." That means that Hillary is not Mrs. William Jefferson Clinton and Anne Sinclair is not really Mrs. Dominique Strauss-Kahn, right? Does eliminating "Mrs" help these supportive wives detach themselves from culpability? Could the logic behind this 'last-name-game' be what traps accomplished women into becoming unsuspecting enablers of abborhent spousal behavior which tests the private lives of everyone who ends up involved in these unnecessary disasters?

Respectfully submitted,
